William Fox-Pitt wins the 2012 Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event and the second leg of the Rolex Grand Slam on Parklane Hawk at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky.

I’ve felt the karma all weekend: Great Britain’s William Fox-Pitt was destined to win the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event on Parklane Hawk. But he didn’t achieve that without real tension, in a well-played drama over what he called a “serious show jumping course” that had the capacity crowd of 9,504 riding with him in the Kentucky Horse Park’s Rolex Stadium.
