Our approach to the formulation of our products is very much science-based.

There is a huge amount of published information in books, on the web and in veterinary and medical publications. When we decide that we want to make a new product, the first thing we do is to try to gain as much of this information as possible. We also have a team of vets, biochemists and nutritionists that we consult and often gain valuable insights regarding a possible side effect of an ingredient or an indication of the correct level of an ingredient for a particular species.

It would take many pages to go into an in depth presentation of what each ingredient is used for , how we decided to use it and it would be very boring to read for the average person. We feel it is more important to make absolutely clear to you that we are obsessed with product safety and effectiveness and ultimately that is what is important to you.

All of the ingredients we use have a long established record of safety and strong evidence showing benefits to support overall well-being and health. Our job as a manufacturer is to focus on determining the correct levels and the right combinations of ingredients.

This is not always easy because in some areas there is very little research on non-human food chain animals. Many of the more innovative new ingredients in recent years have often been developed in the human supplement industry and are then adopted in the animal supplement marketplace.

We are extremely proud of our range of products because of the care and thought that went into the production of each product and our knowledge that we have a track record of positive feedback on our entire range that confirms the benefits of taking time to do things right.

We are always happy to answer questions about particular ingredients or particular issues you may have with your animals, education is key to helping you maintain your animals in the best condition possible. So don’t be shy e-mail us at info@grandmeadows.com.
